Biography
Savanna Jones is an award-winning cinematographer and FAA-certified drone operator known for crafting visually driven stories rooted in authenticity. As founder of Film Girl South, she brings a cinematic perspective to commercial campaigns, documentaries, and branded content across the Gulf Coast — and beyond.
Her work has earned multiple Telly Awards, including recognition for excellence in commercial video production, and she has filmed for nationally recognized names such as NFL Films. Savanna’s eye for natural light and emotional storytelling also stems from her celebrated background in photography, where she was named Best Photographer — Sun Herald 2023, Top 3 Videographer — WXXV Viewer’s Choice Awards, and one of “100 Successful Women to Know 2024” by Gulf Coast Woman Magazine.
Whether filming from the air or the ground, Savanna’s creative approach combines thoughtful composition with a calm, collaborative energy on set. She is passionate about elevating southern voices and stories through film while connecting with brands and crews across the country.
